Mildy

My aunt - named Tammy, but who I have been calling Mildy for years, and who my children also refer to as Mildy - is visiting this weekend.  She has had the pleasure of playing countless hours of Play Doh and even brought some crafts with her for the kids to do - like decorating cookies, making valentines & decorating picture frames... but what Kyra loves BEST about Mildy is her endless supply of make-up!!!  She was finally able to wear Mildy down around 5:00 this evening & this was the result!!

Spring Day?

Can you believe that 5 days ago, I posted the pictures of the kids playing in the snow and today, with temperatures looming around 70 degrees, I'm posting pictures of them playing in bright sunshine???

We must have been outside for over 2 hours today.  Henry & Daddy played football, Kyra and I swinged... we attempted to take a family walk (dog included) but that didn't work out too well... so we came home and the kids rode their bikes for a while.  

Henry said that the afternoon was his favorite part of the day.  I asked him why not the morning and he said, "Because that is when we went to Target."  HA HA HA!!

Snow Day

Today is Henry's 2nd snow day this year - he was so happy to not have to go to school.  What is crazy is, this is only the 7th or 8th time it has snowed in the 13 years I've been here!!!!

Here is a picture looking out of our back door at 6:30 this morning.

I had to get creative bundling up the kids to play in the snow...  In lieu of long johns, I put pajama bottoms on them and then jeans over that.  They both have on 2 pairs of socks, a shirt, sweatshirt, and jacket.  Thankfully Kyra owns a pair of boots, but Henry does not.  Needless to say, we lasted 15 minutes outside.  It was crazy cold out - I'm talking wind chill of like 10 degrees!!

Henry LOVED making snow angels - Kyra tried to make them, but mostly just got into Henry's angels.  They were so excited to be in the snow!!!
